Lawson is an award-winning artist, writer and filmmaker who's mixed-media works have been exhibited regionally, nationally, and internationally, including exhibitions in India, Cambodia, Atlanta, GA. and New York to name a few, for more than 20 years. Lawson's work can be found in over 1000 collections worldwide including those of Patti Smith, Michael Stipe, Wyclef Jean, Alexander Payne, and Julianne Moore, to name a few. Lawson has also created cd cover art for Saddle Creek Records, and his films have screened worldwide and been featured on NPR. The artist resides in New Orleans, Louisiana.
