My thin ink line attempts to hold her. But not the Colour i want to know...Perhaps i am the slut i desire and i am spreading myself all over the paper. After all, i want only to know myself."
David Dumoor creates detailed pieces that are at once strikingly beautiful yet completely indescribable. In talking with Dumoor about his work, he revealed to us, that the painter who has a profound influence on his work is 'Piet Mondrian'.
"I get all tingly, just thinking about his work" - Dumoor says.
Like Mondrian, Dumoor defies categorization and demands that a new language be created when assessing his work, one inwhich oral vocalization will not be neccessary but one nevertheless which has the power and the capacity to chart the unexplored regions of humanity, found within each of our hearts.
The artist currently resides in Denver, CO.
