"Outside My Window" heralds the return of one of U*Space Gallery's most beloved artist - Evans "Wisdom" Robinson Jr. Robinson's highly stylized Neo-Folklike, yet extremely detailed paintings can at times come across as a paradox to viewers. Centered around interpersonal connections, Robinson's painting technique is in part whimsical, yet serious. Nostalgic, yet hopeful. Robinson's paintings can put you in mind of some of the work that came out the Highwaymen school of painting. The complexity of these lovely paintings lies in Robinson's ability to engage and entice the viewer throughout each of his works. It is almost as if he were presenting to us, strangers who in fact, turns out to be an old friend. "Outside My Window" marks the gallery's first solo showing of new works in two years. The exhibition runs through November 18, 2007
